Course details
This is an online study program and you are given a period of 12 months to complete the course, although most people take 20-30 weeks, studying 8-12 hours per week. You are assigned a course mentor, a person who provides all the support and motivation you need to successfully complete the program. You will also learn how to create fitness videos that are interactive.
Global recognition
When you graduate, you are not restricted to working in Australia; the course is globally recognised, allowing you to seek employment abroad should you wish to travel and work at the same time. Many young people work in Australia for a year or two before applying for a position at a 5-star resort in an exotic place. You could, for example, work on contract for 12 months in one location, then relocate to another country for a further 12 months and if you find a set up that you love, stay there.
How to develop a business
As many of the course applicants go on to create their own business, the above course teaches you about marketing, time management and other important aspects of managing a small business. You might prefer to work at a gym until you become more confident and when you feel ready, you can register your new business with the Australian government.
If you have never enjoyed your work, you are in for a surprise; helping people to get fit is great fun and when you have graduated, you will be ready to do something that you love, mentoring your clients to reach their fitness goals.
